Avalokiteshvara Mandala

This painting depicts the abode of the Avalokiteshvara, who is symbolized as a lotus flower at the center of the mandala. Green Tara and the more simple form of Avalokiteshvara with four arms are floating in the sky.

The Mandala is the aerial view of a temple and surrounding garden. Each part of the mandala is deeply significant and must be recorded faithfully by the artist. The background space surrounding the mandala is unique to each particular painting. This painting includes a little monk praying on the sand which was drawn by Andy Weber, my kind teacher.

Mandalas are used for complex visualization practices during empowerments. This painting has been used for empowerments in Menorca, Spain.
